Our Strategy
We develop private wire projects that connect renewable generation directly to commercial and industrial electricity users, avoiding the need for a new grid connection between the renewable asset and the customer. By generating power at or close to the point of consumption, we can reduce exposure to network constraints, grid connection queues and the costs associated with importing electricity through the public network.
We identify underutilised infrastructure and land that can support new renewable generation — from unused industrial rooftops and car parks to agricultural land and existing energy sites. For landowners, particularly in agriculture, ground-mounted solar can provide a long-term, stable income stream from otherwise lower-yielding or marginal land, while allowing continued agricultural use where appropriate.
Dahu Energy develops, finances and operates the renewable energy asset, allowing businesses to access competitively priced renewable electricity without having to fund the construction of the generation themselves. This enables energy-intensive businesses to reduce their carbon emissions, improve energy security and transition towards renewable power without diverting capital from their core operations.
